Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the promptai.credit website, the PromptAI IDE extension, and related services (together, the "Service") operated by PromptAI ("we", "us"). By installing the extension or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Service does
PromptAI lets developers earn credits that offset the cost of AI coding prompts. Credits accrue based on estimated prompt cost and, where available, by watching sponsored content from developer-tool advertisers. Accrued credits can be claimed as USDC to a wallet address you provide.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including any restrictions on receiving digital assets in your jurisdiction.
3. Credits and payouts
- Credits are estimates of prompt cost, computed from token usage and public model pricing. They are not a wallet balance, deposit, or stored value, and carry no guaranteed cash value until a payout transaction is confirmed on-chain.
- Payouts are made in USDC on the Base network. We may change payout networks, assets, rates, minimums, or caps at any time.
- Payouts are sent to the wallet address you provide. Blockchain transactions are irreversible; we are not responsible for losses caused by an incorrect address.
4. Fair use and fraud
You may not use automation, spoofed events, or any other technique to inflate credits or ad views, interfere with verification, or claim credits you did not legitimately accrue. We may withhold payouts, adjust balances, or suspend accounts we reasonably believe are engaged in fraud or abuse.
5. Third-party services
The Service works alongside third-party software and networks, including AI coding IDEs (such as Cursor), blockchain networks, and advertiser content. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, and these Terms do not modify any agreement you have with those providers.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including the extension, website, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension for its intended purpose. You retain all rights to your code and prompts; we do not claim ownership of anything you build.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Cost estimates may differ from what your AI tool actually bills you. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or digital assets, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD $100.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or modify or discontinue the Service at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
