Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information PromptAI ("we", "us") handles when you use the promptai.credit website and the PromptAI IDE extension (together, the "Service"), and the choices you have.

1. What the extension processes locally

The extension's core work happens on your machine. To estimate the cost of your AI prompts it processes, locally:

• a short snippet of each agent prompt you submit (for display in your own panel);
• the model name and estimated input/output token counts for each turn;
• a running ledger of credits earned and claimed.

This data is stored in your editor's local extension storage and is not uploaded to our servers. Your source code and full prompt contents are never transmitted to us.

2. What we receive on our servers

• Payout requests: when you claim credits we receive your wallet address, the claim amount, and a request identifier. We keep a log of completed payouts (address, amount, transaction hash, timestamp) for auditing and fraud prevention.
• Email: if you contact us or subscribe to updates, we receive your email address and message.
• Ad verification (when ads launch): to verify a view we may process a device-generated identifier, timestamps, and completion signals. Advertisers receive aggregated statistics only, never your identity, code, or prompts.

3. Blockchain data is public

USDC payouts are executed on public blockchain networks. Wallet addresses and transaction details are permanently visible on-chain and outside our control. Use a wallet address you are comfortable associating with the Service.

4. What we don't do

• We do not sell personal data.
• We do not read or store your source code.
• We do not share individual usage with advertisers.
• We do not use third-party tracking cookies on this site.

5. Retention

Local ledger data stays on your device until you remove the extension or clear it. Server-side payout logs are kept as long as needed for auditing, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Emails are kept until you ask us to delete them.

6. Security

Payout requests are served over HTTPS, and treasury keys are held in access-controlled environments, separate from user data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the data we handle.

7. Your choices

• Uninstalling the extension stops all local processing; you may also remove its hook entries from your editor configuration.
• You can clear the local ledger at any time from your editor's extension storage.
• You can request deletion of server-side records associated with your wallet address by emailing us (on-chain transactions cannot be deleted).

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the Service evolves (for example, when rewarded ads launch). Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
